Life, Love, Hate, & Hope

I'm Angela.
I'm not always the best person.
I'm mean.
I don't deserve over half of the Love I receive.
But I'm thankful.
I may not know you, but I love you.
You will always mean something to me.
If you are upset, please, talk to me.
I'll do everything in my power to help you feel better, even if you just need someone to Listen.
Keep your head up, Lovelies, Life goes one.

My psychology teacher showed us this picture in class and spent a good 10 minutes talking about how depression is a disorder, a mental disease, not a choice, etc. I respect him so much for that.

This. One thousand times this.
I hate how people are always like “just be happy” or “just stop being sad”. Do you think I chose to be like this? No. It’s something way out of my control.

I’m never gonna pass off the chance to reblog this because hell, sometimes knowing that some one fictional will be there in times like there really does help.

“I firmly believe in small gestures: pay for their coffee, hold the door for strangers, over tip, smile or try to be kind even when you don’t feel like it, pay compliments, chase the kid’s runaway ball down the sidewalk and throw it back to him, try to be larger than you are— particularly when it’s difficult. People do notice, people appreciate. I appreciate it when it’s done to (for) me. Small gestures can be an effort, or actually go against our grain (“I’m not a big one for paying compliments…”), but the irony is that almost every time you make them, you feel better about yourself. For a moment life suddenly feels lighter, a bit more Gene Kelly dancing in the rain.”

DON’T YOU HATE IT WHEN YOU HEAR SOMEONE CALLING YOU BUT THERE’S NO ONE REALLY CALLING YOU AND THEN YOU SIT THERE CONFUSED BECAUSE YOU SWORE YOU COULD HEAR SOMEONE CALLING YOU

I wish there were necklaces given to us at birth that were half of a unique shape and your soulmate wore the other half and they got warmer the closer together you were and colder the further away you were so you could go on this journey when you’re ready to find your other half so that you could be spared all the pain and heartbreak of being played with by those who don’t take dating as seriously as you do
